End wildlife killing contests in Nevada!
During wildlife killing contests, participants compete to kill large numbers of coyotes, bobcats, foxes and other wild animals for the chance at cash and prizes. After the killing is over, the animals are often dumped like trash. These events are cruel and wasteful, and don’t even serve a legitimate wildlife management purpose.
Eight states—including Arizona, Colorado, Washington, California and New Mexico—have already outlawed these wildlife killing contests because they are cruel, unsporting and counterproductive to sound science. Those bans have support from both hunters and animal advocates.
Each Nevadan, including you, has an equal say in how the wild animals in our state are treated.
